As the name implies the BONES amp is just that, a stripped down "bare bones" amplifier. With modern styling and a simple & intuitive front panel layout, BONES is extremely versatile and completely inspiring from the first note played. It retains all the detail of your instruments and playing dynamics as well as front-end coloration from stomp box pedals.
The control panel from L to R: INPUT, GAIN, BRIGHT switch, BASS, BOOST switch, MIDDLE, VOICING L/M/H switch, TREBLE, DEPTH, PRESENCE, MASTER, STANDBY, POWER. On the rear panel: MAINS INPUT, 5 LOUDSPEAKERS jacks for 4, 8 or 16 OHM with optional FX LOOP, LINEOUT, FOOTSWITCH and MIDI. Additional rear panel features includes user adjustable external BIAS test points and individual BIAS controls for more tonal options. The output tubes are also fused in pairs. In case of tube failure you will be able to finish your gig. The master volume functions perfectly at bedroom levels and completely stays together full on. The audio path is switched via relays with no solid state for a true 100% all tube signal path. The wolf in sheep's clothing is the VOICING L/M/H, which is a 3-position switch that selects between 2, 3 or 4 stages of gain. This function greatly changes the sound and feel of the amp giving you an astonishing array of tones. From luscious, spanky clean to searing, cabinet exploding high gain overdrive, it's like having 3 completely different amps!
All ceramic tube sockets, sealed stainless steel shafted pots, metal switches, metal jacks, custom designed precision wound power, choke and output transformers are mounted to a 14 gauge brushed stainless steel chassis. All the chassis mounted components are wired "flying lead" style to a 1/8" thick, 4oz weighted FR4 PCB. Front and back panel are clear anodized brushed aluminum with laser etched lettering that will not wear off. Housed in a 3/4" birch-ply enclosure, accented with custom black aluminum anodized metal grills and a 1/4" thick machined aluminum logo plate. Premium components and solid, reliable design that will last a lifetime.
