THis pedal made my amp simply insane. I never thought a Mesa Dual Rectifier could get this tight! Thanks Mike!

Fortin 33 boost pedal does what you would expect. Even though I’m not tuning my guitar lover than C, and only using 6 string axe, it’s a brilliant pedal.

-Built quality: 5 stars. no question.
-Features: 5 stars, the amp switch function is brilliant, no tap dance to switch off the 33, change channel and switch off the amp’s boost too. Not any more. And the top mounted jacks are just brilliant feature.
-Sound: 5 stars. Since it’s not(!) an overdrive, it gives you a much better saturated sound with exceptional string separation.
-Price: well, it depends. If you could do without all of the above then go for something cheaper. For me this pedal worth its price.
-Fortin’s service: Exceptional. Try it if you don’t believe me.

Not only you will get a high-quality product, you will also receive top notch customer support. This pedal makes everything sounds better. I know this was designed to be used with guitars, however, I’m currently using it in my bass signal chain and it has made my bass tone completely amazing.

    Thanks Mike,

Playing without this makes my 5150 iii sound like a vintage fuzz amp. Every power chord and chug is so sweet, like it was candy coated.

I hate to say it but I’m leaving an honest review and I didnt really like the 33 at first. Man was I wrong, after using it a bit I f$?king love it and couldnt see my pedalboard with out it. In some applications it does take alot of low end out but that is easily corrected with an eq pedal, preamp or even just amp eq. Most amps and plugins I have used it with it’s a monster with no adjustment other than the knob. Moral of the story is if you dont like it at first mess around a little you wont be disappointed. If you hear bad things about this pedal they just dont know how to adjust tone properly or they are just haters. I’ve heard it called a glorified eq and other nonsense, it’s a boost pedal and it does its job amazingly. The 33 is devastating in the right hands.

This pedal frickin’ rocks. If someone says they don’t like it, I can completely understand why. Everyone has described it as being able to be thrown in front of just about any amp, and it turning into a chug machine. This is not correct. This pedal works really well with amps that have a nice big bottom end with a very pronounced mid-range. You dial in your amp with a little gain, not too much, lots of bass, and mids and resonance (if applicable), and maybe roll back the presence and treble a little. All of these are subject to change from taste and playing style. You should get a warm flubby big sound. Slap the 33 in front and you get PURE destruction.

Some of the people complaining about it quite differently and are saying it makes your amp sound “thin” because their low end isn’t much to begin with. Some people have said it adds too much gain…. then roll it back on your amp. This pedal deserves all of the hype it gets, but not everyone knows how to make it sound the best it can. Just my 2 cents!
